Triad Fall Parade of Homes

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Sept. 28, 2022) – A dozen newly-built homes will be open to the public Oct. 8-9 and Oct. 15-16 for free tours during the Fall Parade of Homes sponsored by Truist and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices – Carolinas Realty.

Tours will be available each day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The 12 homes are located in Lewisville, Winston-Salem, King, Lexington, Advance, Kernersville and Clemmons. Exact locations and addresses for the homes may be found at paradeofhomesws.com after October 1. Another 19 homes will be available for virtual tours.

Presented by the Homebuilders Association of Winston-Salem, the Fall Parade of Homes has a long history in the area, debuting in 1962. As was the case 60 years ago, the Fall Parade of Homes is staged to help the home-buying public stay up to date on homebuilding innovations and styles.

“We want homeowners and future homeowners to take a look at the latest trends, to see what is new. It is a great way to bring inspiration to a future homeowner,” said Gisela Lopez, executive vice president of the Home Builders Association. “The goal of the event is to enhance the public image of the organization and show the craft of our home builders.”

Several of the tour homes are located in the Brookberry Farm area, including a collaboration by four of the area’s top home builders, a 4,372-square foot recently completed home. Located in The Oaks, the newest phase of Brookberry Farms, this house boasts a gourmet kitchen with Fisher Pykel appliances, a primary bedroom on the main floor with a zero-entry shower. The upper level features a bonus room and a playroom plus a loft. The mud room leads to a three-car garage. There is also a covered front porch as well as a covered back porch with a fireplace. The lot overlooks the original manor house and captures the natural beauty of Brookberry Farm.

There will be a Homebuilder Association member onsite at every house during the dates of the tour to answer questions. There will also be a brochure available at each house detailing the build.
