Beauty with Ebony

Hey boo hey, OMG it’s been one year of beauty with Ebony. I’m a licensed cosmetologist who loves hair, makeup, and all things beauty. Baby, it is springtime, and my column is one year old, so I’m paying tribute to my first column, brows, lashes, and bold lip.

Some of the beauties of spring are the beautiful colors, and longer, warmer days. This is a great time to refresh your beauty routine. Try adding eyeliner to make your lashes look fuller before adding mascara. The liner doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Using a simple pencil liner or a gel liner. When choosing your mascara volumizing is if you want fuller looking, lengthening is for longer and if you want both choose an ultimate. If you have allergies that cause running eyes, be sure to wear waterproof eye makeup (because who wants to have the runny mascara and liner look).

Give a pop of color by trying a new lip color. If you’re nervous to try a new lip color, be confident and do it anyway. Line your lips with a nude liner in that color family. For example, if it’s in the purple family, use a brownish burgundy liner. And top it off with your favorite shimmery nude lip gloss.

We have fuller lashes, a pop of color on our lips and now to make sure everything is framed with our brows. I understand brows can be intimidating but an easy hack is using a tinted brow gel to give them color and definition. Now if you feel your brows are already defined you may not need any tinted brow gel. Most brow gels come with a spoolie applicator that can be used to comb and smooth the brow. Apply the gel over your brows and they will be locked in. A little goes a long way with most brow gels.

If you’ve read my column previously, skin is always in, so pair these tips with that amazing hydrated skin. I encourage you to try these tips as you go out and enjoy warmer, longer days. Be sure to follow me and Triad Voice on social media as I will share more spring tips and looks.
