Debra Frederick has now wholeheartedly embraced her lifelong passion – painting. Though her career took her on a detour into the world of denim and apparel, Debra stayed creatively inspired by traveling internationally and soaking in the sights of iconic art along the way.
Cyril is often praised as a social innovator, an expert at finding creative and effective new solutions for existing social and economic problems. In fact, the firm he founded, Change often LLC, makes this its focus.

Arts For EveryBody, a nationwide initiative to bring together artists, civic leaders and community health providers to foster healthier communities, will hold a “Creative Wellness Community Day” in Winston-Salem on July 27. Winston-Salem and Forsyth County is 1 of 18 communities across the United States selected to be part of Arts for EveryBody. All 18 communities will hold events on July 27.
At LEAD Girls of NC, a Winston-Salem nonprofit that encourages and mentors girls to aspire and achieve greatness academically, emotionally, and creatively, we’re incredibly fortunate to walk alongside our LEAD girls as the bloom and blossom all year round. Close to 400 girls in Forsyth County participate in our LEAD programs through partnerships with their local middle schools, weekend programs, summer camps and our annual Expo.
I know one thing is for sure, though: God placed me on this Earth to be a leader and trailblazer.
