In the southern community, there are no ifs, ands, buts, or debates about collard greens being the number one “must-have” vegetable dish at every meal gathering, particularly in the black community, where it is deeply ingrained in our cultural heritage.
Being in the sun is a way to naturally get Vitamin D, the vitamin that helps our bodies absorb calcium, however over-exposure is unhealthy (like overdoing anything else). But since we’re going to be outside let’s be sure to give our skin some added protection from the sun’s UV rays by using sunscreen or sunblock.
