As temperatures soar, excitement builds in the Piedmont Triad! Our vibrant communities are brimming with activities for everyone, from pride celebrations to outdoor concerts. Here’s your guide to the hottest events you won’t want to miss:
Pride- Downtown Winston-Salem Celebrate diversity and inclusion at this colorful festival. The festivities kick off on June 21 with a Pride crosswalk mural refresh at Sixth and Trade streets during the Art Crush event (7-10 p.m.). Look for the Pride banner on City Hall’s front lawn. The main parade starts at 10 a.m. on June 22 in the Downtown Arts District.
Rock Out at the Quarry- Experience an unforgettable concert in this natural amphitheater. The event runs June 28th from 7-10 p.m., featuring 20+ food trucks, live music, and a fireworks finale. Shuttle service from Bowman Gray Stadium begins at 5 p.m.
Black Theatre Festival Block Party Winston-Salem comes alive with this vibrant celebration of African American theatre. The Old School Block Party (Aug. 1-3, 7-11 p.m.) at Corpening Plaza offers free entertainment: Aug. 1: Envision Aug. 2: Phase Band Aug. 3: Club Nouveau Free trolley service and food trucks available nightly. Don’t miss Teentastic, a free youth festival at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds (Aug. 2, 7-10 p.m. and Aug. 3, 7 p.m.-midnight).
