Women you should know…Véronique George
Award-winning Marketing Executive

Véronique George is a creative marvel whose passion revolves around storytelling. Under her company, VLG Productions, Véronique has cultivated and exposed her formidable talents as a playwright, director and producer. VLG Productions, now part of the parent company, The VLG Groupe, embodies her vision to preside over an entertainment, media and marketing company whose services center around “A Strategic Approach to Storytelling.”
Her parents’ interests centered around creative pursuits. With them as
models, Véronique was drawn to theater as a young child. Throughout
her formative years, she wrote and appeared in plays at her church and at school.
She matriculated to Florida A&M University and earned an MBA. Véronique proved adept at deploying traditional marketing strategies, which was complemented by her proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy. With these skill sets, she was poised to market and take her vision to the ownership level.
In 2018, she became the Founder and Owner of VLG Productions. The purpose of the company is to empower, uplift and impact historically marginalized and underrepresented communities through works that are entertaining and inspire action. The plots shine a light on heart- wrenching crises that befall humans including domestic abuse, human trafficking, homelessness, financial abuse, relational issues, unconventional family structures and healthcare inequities, with hope at the center of the resolution.
All of her plays follow that formula including The Counterfeit, her first play. Subsequent works she wrote and produced were The Counterfeit 2, which continues the exploits begun in The Counterfeit.
VLG Productions has touched nearly 100,000 devotees. Eager to cultivate a new generation, in 2020, VLG Productions founded VLG Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the company that provides performing arts scholarships for high school and college students.
With a growing and loyal following, Véronique was invited to showcase her work at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival in 2022. There, through talkbacks and engagement, audiences cited The Comeback as being entertaining, thought provoking and so transformative, the message stayed with them long after the curtain fell.
In 2020, the world was caught in the clutches of a pandemic. Appealing to her growing fan base, she transitioned live plays into virtual productions and produced The Conversation, The Comeback and The Center. Showing her creative depth, she collaborated to produce The Counterfeit 2 in Spanish, titled La Falsificación 2.
In 2022, Véronique began crafting branding and social media strategy and stories for clients. In that role, she led the rebrand strategy for North Carolina’s first professional black theatre company, NC Black Rep. Additionally, she has developed and owned the marketing, social media and public relations strategies and activations for plays both in development for and running on Broadway. This work naturally ushered her into the next phase of her company, expanding her services to include marketing and branding strategy under the parent company, The VLG Groupe.

On the strength of her creative eye, her marketing moxie and her ability to give life to works that fulfill public yearnings, Véronique George is on the cusp of a breakthrough. This inevitability will catapult her to industry heights and crystallize her as a highly-heralded/highly-touted-and- respected theater and marketing luminary.
