TRIAD KIDS DENTAL CARING4COMMUNITY PROGRAM HITS $30,000 WITH RECENT AWARD TO TITLE 1 SCHOOL
Walk into the employee break room at Triad Kids Dental, and you might find someone grabbing a quick snack in between patients or trying to figure out who brought in the tray of cookies. You’ll probably see a calendar of events they’re participating in, the schedule for community dental screenings – and then on the wall, you’ll see a mission statement:
Triad Kids Dental believes all children deserve access to high-quality dental care in a fun and upbeat environment, regardless of their family income.
This mission statement isn’t just a sign on the wall or a slogan on social media. The local dental practice serves hundreds of children each year with free preventative dental care and sponsors a variety of school and community programs, and in 2022, launched their Caring4Community initiative to provide funds directly to the communities they serve.
Since the inception of the Caring4Community program in May of 2022, Triad Kids Dental has donated $30,000 to local community organizations and schools.
Dr. KaSheena Hollis, owner and managing partner of Triad Kids Dental, stated “Support for our community has always been central to our mission, and partnerships with schools and local family organizations have been critical to our success. Our hope is that the Caring4Community program offers financial support to these very worthwhile causes, but also, brings awareness to the organizations that impact our community in a positive way.”
Triad Kids Dental will host at least two large Caring4Community contests a year, allowing community members to vote on where they want funds to go. But the kids dental practice sees their Caring4Community efforts as more than these two contests.
“We do so much. We’re really proud of this. We’re at preschools and Head Start centers almost every Friday bringing a dentist or hygienist to the kids. We do food drives, diaper drives, community baby showers, we sponsor families over the holidays, and we give our time to so many community programs,” shared Community Relations Specialist Jenna Stottler.
Jenna continued, “We know the families we serve sometimes have obstacles that keep them from getting to the dentist. We want to be out there answering questions, helping community organizations with the resources their families need, and helping parents see the importance of getting established with a dental home. We want families to feel at ease when they come to our office.”
Triad Kids Dental proudly accepts Medicaid and most private insurance plans and encourages parents to stay with their children during exams and treatment. During their dental appointment, kids can enjoy play centers, gaming consoles, and kids movies playing above the dental chair.
Triad Kids Dental has locations in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Thomasville, and Burlington. Visit Triad Kids Dental online at triadkidsdental.com or on social media @triadkidsdental.
